Strata Geosciences is seeking to hire a Senior Environmental/Remediation Engineer or Senior Environmental Scientist to work on a diverse range of projects under MTCA and CERCLA regulations and expand our remediation and environmental services team. Tasks will likely include design and oversight of remedial investigations/feasibility studies/cleanup actions, regulatory strategy and negotiation, expert witness support, managing projects and junior-level staff, and client interaction. You will work as part of a team and also have opportunities to execute tasks independently. We will support you to continue developing your career in the way that suits your skills and aspirations.
If you have 10 or more years’ experience working in the environmental consulting industry under MTCA/CERCLA frameworks and a Masters (or higher) in environmental/remediation engineering, hydrogeology, geology, environmental science or a related field, then this could be the ideal role for you. Preferred qualifications and experience for the ideal candidate include:
- Master of Science degree or highly qualified Bachelor of Science degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or related field.
- Washington State P.E. license is highly preferred.
- Strong background or experience in MTCA and CERCLA regulations.
- Experience with solid waste regulations.
- Experience with contaminated site remediation.
- Experience managing projects and teams.
- Ability to observe important details, to integrate observations into an overall understanding, and to communicate that information effectively.
- Systematic and logical approach to problem solving.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Currently located, or willing to relocate to, the Puget Sound area.
